Using the tech tip for de-rusting metal I have an old wheel cooking. Everything is hooked up right, double checked, positive to electrode, negative to work, in washing powder solution, 20 amps rectified through a 12 volt battery. After several days the wheel is covered in crud that is hard to scrape off and the electrode is clean as a whistle, the reverse of what I expected. What is going on here?
