Gus, I noticed that you have a throttle rod clip shown in that link. Originally from the
factory the AD's did not use a clip. The throttle cable was the only thing that retained the
throttle link: sec.6 sheet 5.01 in the FAM show's that.
I don't know why they didn't use a clip back in the day, but it seems like a good idea to
me. I've never had a lot of confidence in the wire being the only thing between me and
running wide open. This said, I’ve never heard of one failing.
