Jerry, I also machine the 250/292 HEI to fit deep enough into the oil pump and then make a split ring hold down like Speedway sells for mags. Is yours easier to make? Also run a 10 ga wire from battery through relay to terminal on HEI cap. Use original 16 ga ignition wire to activate relay.
