i bought heidts mustang ii off ebay think i got a good deal. what i was told by a local hot rod builder is to buy a hub to hub kit that way you get everything you need. that way you dont have to come up with all the little stuff that adds up. bolts nuts, bearings, dust caps, brake hardware, well you can see where this is going. if you add it all up with the little stuff you get a better deal with the kit. also the welder series you have to do alot more measuring and grinding to get it to fit. the other thing i found out is that dont rely on the instructions they send you they are really vague. the name brand crossmembers are typically cut to fit pretty good but you still have to do the homework with your tape measure, level and grinder to make sure its perfect before welding. go to their website and look at the instructions for both the universal and direct fit crossmembers before ordering to see what is involved. use the measurements for placement on the frame from the direct fit instructions and use the instructions for the universal for pretty much everything else when installing. and as always measure twice and check everything a dozen or so times before tackin it in. then measure again three times and check everything again a dozen more times before finish welding. anyway its not that hard if you get the right kit. shop around and read all the reviews and instructions so your comfortable with your purchase before buying.
