That is normal. With the weight off the front axle grab the right front horozontily. Push & pull. If there is any play get someone to do it for you & see if the play is in the tie rod ends. There should be none. Grab the tie rod ends & pull up & down. There should be no play there either. If thats OK then you have nothing to worry about as far as tie rod ends are concerned. Its a good idea to change them over to the new style if you want to work on something & spend some money. Other wise they will be OK.
