Master parts books are also helpful. The old chevy manual site has several to look through, otherwise they show up on ebay.
I like the parts books for having good exploded views/cutaways of components and helping determine what interchanges between years. This is good knowledge to have when going to swap meets, etc. (Never ask the seller if it will fit your vehicle...everything will fit with either a hammer or torch!)
