The tank is back and looks new, it cleaned up great.
I still havent worked out the filler neck. The wife and son don't want the filler neck exposed like the old Jeeps (too much pipe exposed).
I'm going to install a Retrax retractable bed cover
www.rolltopcover.com which will take up about 11" square at the front top of the bed. So now I'm thimking I could run the filler pipe exposed inside the bed. I can fit the filler neck below the area that the cover is taking up running it on a 45* angle through the bed side wall. This will make the gas cap/filler neck look about the way it would look in the stock location, but it will be on the right side between the fender and the cab on the bed side.
I'll try to get a picture of the tank tomorrow. I still need to make new straps and find the support wedges that go on the crossmembers (they keep the tank from swinging into the drive shaft).
