Alvin is correct - a couple of the vendors offer a rebuilt regulator, but they are very expensive. And your old unit can save some money if it is deemed "rebuildable" by that vendor. I have gone thru several of these units. You need a good housing (axle holes not real sloppy),and decent worm and worm gear. The small brass wear plate will need replacing for sure. And most important, the tongue has to be in good shape. If you feel froggy - read thru tech tip on this and see what you feel safe messing with. They do come apart relatively easy. Good luck!
