All the ones that I have used on 216/235/261 engines have a thin contact-spring and a thicker spring (two pieces) that went around it. It looks like one-piece contact/spring points-units are now available. Here's one with two "springs". Here is one for a 1959 235 at Rockauto.com. Can you post a photo of what you have?
