My "old" 61 Chevy had a 283. It was bagged, but I loved it. I considered that too but thought they were also too rare these days. If I can find one I will definitely go that route, keep the 4 speed, and likely change out the rear end gearing so it's more highway friendly. I love 350s but it seems like everyone has one. I like to be unique. Kinda why I picked the oddest looking truck Chevy has ever made.
