Like Squire says, alot depends on what you've got to work with. From your pic, looks like you have all original sheet metal? I would just say that it's easier to work on something out in the open, than while hanging off the truck. I would only suggest putting all nuts and bolts togeather finger tight and once you've got the clip back on the truck, you can adjust, align, and tighten them up.
