Hey folks I could use a little help. I picked up my 62 a few years ago and it was not complete so I am a bit confused about the heater situation.

I have a recirculating type heater core and the controls on the dash are two levers. One for the fan ( I assume controls speed) and the other lever controls the flapper in the heater box ( I assume to divert heat to the defroster or to the floor area).

My question is:
In looking at LMC is shows heater control valves for a 62. Would this be for the deluxe heaters. I don't remember having found any of this hardware when the truck came apart. The heater core connections run through the firewall directly to the intake and to the water pump connection.

Without a control valve the heater would run continuously??? Am I mising something??? HELP!!!Thanks!!!!
