(It came with the truck when I bought it.)Part suppliers will state '47 - '53 but in regards to transmissions it's actually '48 - 53. I purchased a rebuild kit form Novak's thinking I had an SM 420 but had to return it. I supposed because '47 was a 'crossover' year there was some carry over of parts from the pre-'47's.
It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.
