It is the upper plate showing the production location and number, the lower plate is missing. Note that the long axis is verticle and the alpha-numeric characters side is on the right. It is mounted with clutch head screws. I have wondered what the lower plate info is supposed to look like. Can you show the lower data plate info for your truck? Hope this helps. By the way I am fairly certain the orientation is correct. The truck came from the factory Commercial Red. A later owner painted the truck "Mariner Blue". I discovered the Red color under the plate. | | |
