For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 | well - I finally got down to the casting codes on my 1950 3800 only to find out that my 235 is really a 216 (drat). So with casting 3835849 I have a 216 from 42-53. The block numbers are CON4 F290 so it looks like it was cast in February of 1950.
Last question - what does the CON4 identify? I haven't been able to find any data on what those 4 chars stand for.
Thanks | | |
