Nice to have you and your 54 3100 five window in the group. How do you plan to use the truck? It will be fine, as is, for local driving. The stock 3.90 gears are actually pretty good all around gears. If you plan to drive many of those long Texas highways, you may want to add higher gears while you have it apart. Tons of advice on gearing here on the Bolt. Have fun.
