There was a bolter up around Madison that was organizing a get together a couple of
years back but I never heard more about it. That’s just a nice two hour drive up Rt39 for
me in Bluebelle and I sure I would have shown up for lunch. I'm sure Pete and I could
have headed up a convoy.
Because of the Stovebolt, I've been contacted by a dozen or so guys from around
Northern Illinois but it seems that's about it, just in contact once and never heard from
them again. Must be my charming personality that turns them off.
But if someone were to plan a get together within a 100 or so miles I'd make the trip, as
long as the weather was decent that is.

Lack of activity was among several reasons I sent my membership card back to VCCA
this year. I paid the dues for five or six years and got very little out of it compared to the
help I’ve gotten from the bunch here on the Bolt. And never once in all that time did I
manage to find or did I hear or did I get an email about a VCCA gathering around this
part of the country.
