Well dang-it guys, I was thinking my trans issue as a done deal. I guess I'm back to square one. Donf you would be guessing right it is a sm420. I thought I could just use the bellhousing and bolt to the 235. But I see what you guys say if 4th gear is 1:1 I would only gain stump pulling work. Thanks for your answers. One last question I have is about replacing the lever shocks. Could a guy just cut the shock mounts off the 3/4 ton and mount them on the 1/2 ton in the same location they are on the 3/4 tons frame? I'm just starting this project after many years of having other things more important like making a living. Thanks for your help.
