For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 | I recently ordered rear brake shoes for my 53 3100. When I compared them to the old ones I found them to be different widths? The old ones were 1 3/4" & the new ones 2". I check my truck manual and it specifies 1 3/4" rears and 2" for the front. Just to follow up I check the flaps online parts and thier numbers are the same for front and rear. They even show the same part # for brake drums front and rear. So my question is anybody else running 2" brake shoes on the rear? I plan on finding out . | | |
