Just went out and dug out my seven wire signal unit. It came with the truck in '05 when I
bought it. The previous owner had ordered a box full of stuff from Chevy Duty but never
didn't have the truck long enough to put any of it on the truck.
Yes the unit clamps on to the mast jacket, but that was the way that all of the aftermarket
units were attached, nothing unusual there.
And the unit is not plastic it's a chrome plated die-casting.
Actually its a pretty solid looking unit and looks pretty much just like the original Signal
Stat units.
Maybe since ya'll made me get it out, I'll dust it off and install it this winter.
