Thanks Tim. I believe you're right that brown was the only color that was standard and as Carter describes it, it was "grain brown", that is, it had a texture that was not smooth.
Can you tell us how it was sewn? Did it have piping along the front edge or was it one piece with the seams only on the edges by the doors?
