Panhead59, here is a simple formula to remember when spraying, Orange peel is a factor of fluid adjustment,and run control is an air pressure adjustment, so I would bet, you have TOO much paint coming out trying to cover with a light color, and it cant atomize properly, and goes on in too large a drop, which equals Orange peel.
