I dunno about 16.5", but a real tire shop will mount on split rims, as long as they aren't the dreaded variety. If you have a big rig shop near by, they should be able to tell you/ help you. Real tire shops have cages in them for inflating split rims.

My preference in your situation (its easy to spend someone else's money) would be to get two more stock wheels if you can find them. They look super cool with the narrow tall tires on them. The steering is also "lighter" with the narrow tires.
