When I bought my truck it had no winshield frame and the hinges had been cut off. I planned on using a/c, so I decided to put a fixed windshield in. That left me with the crankhandle hole in the dash.
I decided to install a cigarette lighter/charging port in the hole. I didnt like the look of a cigarette lighter hanging out of the dash. There was an old thermometer screwed into the header panel when I bought the truck. I took it apart and cleaned it up, I then took apart an old lighter plug and mounted it to the back of the thermometer. Now the hole is filled with the thermo, and I just remove it if I need to use the plug to charge my phone. I put a couple pics of it here,
