My truck originally had a Rochester B. I changed to the Carter YF 2100.

The Rochester, while a good carb, has 4 bolts to attach the top plate to the body, one bolt in each "corner". Over time, the plate warps so that it does not match the plane of the body mounting surface, resulting in leakage.

The Carter has 7 bolts attaching the top plate to the body. Do the math.

Mine has never leaked, and I'd choose the YF over the B every time.
