It would be nice if that's the cause. I'd like to be able to repair it without doing major disassembly, if possible.
I assumed that torquing the bolts down would overcome any friction with the guide rings and snug everything up tight. I have it snugged up pretty good and still have a leak somewhere.
I guess I should mention that my tail pipe is missing. Everything from the muffler back is gone. But I doubt that's related. The sound definitely seems like it's coming from the manifold area.
