For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 241 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 241 | Hello:
I pulled the negative cable off of the battery to work on the truck engine. I had the cable off for a few hours. After reconnecting the cable the truck won't turn over. There's no electrical at all. No lights, gauges etc.
If I pull the positive cable and put it back on I can get my headlights and instrument panel to work. But then when I try to turn it over it sucks all of the juice and nothing comes on.
I tested the battery with a multimeter and it was reading 75% charged which should be enough to crank the engine. The battery is 2 months old. The cables are new. I'm not sure what's going on. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks. | | |
