JC when asked, admit some of their stuff comes from steele, but won't say outright if a particular part comes from steele.
I just bought a windshield gasket from JC, and the rubber cowl top, and cowl side gaskets. They were all really nice, and much, much better quality than the ones I bought for my last project from taiwan.
I was just too-cheap to buy the gaskets from steele.
That's my two cents.
