I looked at the motor once again and at the back of the block, on top where the trans bolts up is a C16 with the number 3 above it.
The number 3252 and the letters HB are cast onto the block also.
If that helps identify the engine a little better I would appreciate some information.
I'll run around the junk yards and see if I can scare up an auto trans crossmember, but I don't like my chances.
