Interesting findings. Is this rod that Jeff is inquiring about different between a 235 and 216? I have a spare but it has quite the curve along the thick portion whereas the one in my truck (235) is pretty straight. Also the curved on is about 3-4" longer.
It depends on the year of the 235 engine. The bell-crank pivot that is screwed into the block is in different locations, depending on the year of the 235 engine.
Here is a generic universal throttle rod that can be easily bent to work as the throttle rod from the bell-crank to a carb (on a newer 235/261 engine).
As posted above, the throttle rod from the pedal to the bell crank on the block has to also be adapted for the different length (by bending or by cutting/threading and putting in a coupling nut)
