Well, it finally happened after 6 1/2 years. My 57 is on the road, and its bright yellow color sure turns heads. Went to my first cruise-in last night, and had some nice compliments. Now I'll spend the rest of my life tweeking every little thing.
I have an original speedometer which reads 8.8 miles for 10 miles driven using mile-markers on the highway. With a 3.36 rear, 235/70/15 rubber, and a T5 from an 89 Camaro w/ 6 cyl engine, the 700r4 website says I need a 17 tooth drive gear and 41 tooth driven gear for correct speedo readings. Does anyone out there know what the drive gear is in this transmission, or possibly a website I could visit which could help ?
