I agree with these guys. My '51 came with an 8v and what seemed like a million electrical problems. After cleaning all the contacts, replacing the main cables, a couple bulbs and swapping in a new 6v battery, everything is as good as new and the 6v is plenty strong. Truck starts on the first stomp and the lights all shine bright.
