Congratulations on the truck. I just acquired a 1937 1-1/2 ton myself. I personally have never tackled such a job but if you decide to go through with it I wish you the best of luck. Not knowing your mechanical background it is hard to say go for it or not.
Would love to see pictures of the truck at some point.
