I assume you're asking about how to re-connect the wiring? There should be three wires attached to the generator. The larger-gauge wire (usually #12) attaches to the upper terminal on the generator housing and connects to the "ARM" terminal on the voltage regulator. A smaller wire, (#16) attaches to the lower terminal of the generator and attaches to the "Fld" terminal at the regulator. For best operation, a third wire should attach between the generator housing and the base of the regulator to provide a direct ground for the field cotrol circuit. It can be a #16 or smaller. The "Bat" terminal of the regulator should have a #12 or larger wire attached to the back of the ammeter, on the same terminal that provides voltage to the ignition switch, headlight switch, and the fuse panel. The wire on the other side of the ammeter should be attached to the battery cable terminal at the starter. It should also be a #12 or larger gauge.
