Friends,
I have already consulted the window page. The problem I have in my 2-ton project is not addressed there.
I have to take the window assembly unit (complete) out of the truck. To that end I have (had to) drilled out the
4 bolts holding the hinge on each side, and I was able to disconnect the crank SS roller strip. I assumed the window would then tilt enough to remove the two screws on each side that connect the hinges to the window frame steel. But, I didn't gain much, not enough to get a tool on the heads, and while I know I
could slip a cut off blade in there that doesn't help me when I need to reinstall them. So, what have you done
to accomplish this?? Any tips?? The window rubber is all cracked and dried so I will need to replace that anyway. I am just getting after the rust above the valance and want to fix wiper motors or replace with electrics but that is months away. Thanks, LevisPop
Pics below show where things are now and at the bottom of each you can see the two screws I cannot get to unless the window can be tilted out or ???
