If the frame is in good shape, it might be a better idea to advertise it for sale, along with the title and VIN. That way, a potential restorer would have a good paper trail for his project. Somewhat less-than-scrupulous salvage yards have been known to sell titles and VIN plates to "chop shops" that specialize in modifying and reselling stolen vehicles. That's why it's possible to open up a whole can of worms when someone tries to use a purchased title on a different vehicle. Some states are much more lenient than others concerning issuing ownership documentation on assembled vehicles.
