Well Jessica sure has been having fun driving her NEW truck. Thanks to all that helped get her on the road. We have a fuel pump (without a vacuum pump) that has begun to weep fuel and needs to be replaced. My question is can I buy a fuel pump with the vacuum pump for this motor are they interchangeable? It seems as though looking at the pictures on the internet that fuel pumps w/vacuum pumps the actuator arm points up and without point down. I understand that the pictures could be deceiving since they might not be pictures of the actual parts. I would like to replace it with a vacuum assist since the truck has vacuum wipers that work......just not well.
The engine code (if it helps) is 3769716 as found behind the road draft tube. And the stamp behind the dizzy is F 11 30 B.
I've added this info because the motor is not original to the truck
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
If it is possible to use a vacuum assist my next set of questions will pertain to the new plumbing for the wipers, but I saw Denny had posted some helpful info I need to read thoroughly first.
