The electric part of the choke is designed to be sure the choke valve opens fully within one minute if the temperature is above 70 degrees F., and within 3 minutes below that. It's a very simple oil pressure controlled circuit, and disabling it makes no sense at all. Installing an automatic choke cover without the heater strip doesn't work because there's no hot air system built into the carburetor to provide the heat necessary to make it release properly. Jerry
