on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 42 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 42 | First post in stovebolt! This place is amaaaazing! I went to look at a 1937 216 yesterday and couldn't find any numbers on the block. I was going to use the engine I.D. tables posted here to get info on the motor. Did gm not use engine numbers until a certain year? The gentleman was very, very knowledgeable and experienced and was sure it came from a 1937 farm pickup. Also, I would like to use this in a '51 chevy 3100 pickup. Did gm make major changes in the 216 from 1937 to the 50's? Thanks! | | |
