Hy ADspudnut, I don't know about it making a difference given the power, but if the surface is not flat and consistant, it will definately make a difference to the life of the clutch disc, and possibly the smooth engagement of the clutch. Just the fact that you're concerned about the surface says you should have it surfaced.
