Give the gas tank a healthy dose of SeaFoam or Sta-Bil additive, and use "fogging oil" into the intake which can be purchased at most outboard motor dealer parts departments. It doesn't hurt to cover the intake and exhaust openings to keep critters like squirrels or mice out, and atmospheric moisture transfer into the engine at a minimum.
