The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Throttle cable hook up

Hi I have a 52 Chevy 3600 I have restored.I am trying to figure out how to hook up the throttle cable to the Rochester carb.When I hook it up I run the cable through the accelerator linkage and put a cable stop on it.The problem is when I pull the throttle I am pulling against the stiff return spring.I am at a loss.
