You have it backwards, 1 1/2 ton front fenders are larger, running boards shorter. 1 1/2 ton and larger do not have rear fenders, exept for the 1 1/2 ton Express trucks from the mid '30s. 1/2 through 1 ton use the same fender front and rear, running boards vary depending on bed type and length.
