Forgive my comment but the truck is most likely a 1946 truck that was bought in 1947 and registered in 1947. GM/Chevrolet sold the 1946 model into 1947 until they ran out and until the dealers started selling the new series, Advance-Design trucks. This naming/dating terminology between 1946 models and 1947 models is different from the correctly used 1955-1st series (Advance-Design) and the 1955-2nd series (Task Force) trucks.
