The axle ratio I told you was found on another forum. I think he made a typo. He said that is what comes on the '55 chevy 6400's. But he also said he was very knew to the classic truck world. You seem much more knowledgeable on this topic. Thanks for clearing that up. I should have known. Listening to the rookie can be very helpful, or very misleading. I thought that seemed off for this size of a truck.
Are you telling me that I was right about the rims being interchangable? I am unsure because at the beginning, it says correct, but at the end you say it is a change from the earlier size. Which is it? QUOTE: Correct, 55 model and later big bolts with the 10 lug pattern on 7.25" bolt circle should have a 5.25" center hole, this is a change from the earlier 4.75" center hole.
