Kurt_51carryall Shop Shark K Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 Raleigh,NC	This hole is so you can operate the spare tire holder under the truck. I think this was changed in 1950, when they stopped making the rear sill with the hole/tube and went to a different design for the spare tire holder. Kurt
