Hello,Leif from Norway here.
I`m a new guy, and some of you from the Topic site asked if I could tell you a little about my truck,so here I go.
My `53 3100 was imported to Norway a few years ago from Savannah,GA,I have relatives there.I drive this truck all year around, and that says a lot about the truck, the norwegian winters are COLD!After the first winter,I had to convert it to 12V..I put snow tires on it,plus a lot of weight over the rear axleand that takes care of most of the skidding.
My wife has a brand new BMW,but which of the cars do you think fires up on cold mornings?Yup,you`re right..
I try to keep my truck original, not meaning I`m a purist.Have added a lot of accessories like Fulton cap, spot ligt, fog lights, turn signals, etc etc.But I don`buy any new Chinese stuff, only american made stuff, made in the 50`es.The truck was badly rusted when I bought it,but I have taken care of that little by little by a LOT of welding and NOS parts like fenders, inner fenders and so on.Plus a lot of sheet metal and patch panels I have bought new from Jim Carter, those guys have been very helpfull and friendly. Thanks,Sheba!
I will add pictures of the truck eventually.
Hope I will get a lot of new buddies from this site.
Leif.
