I'm replacing my 216 and 3-speed in my 51 1/2 ton, with a 235 and 3-speed transmission out of a 57 chevy. I want to retain the original column shifter. Do the stock shifter and linkages work with the later model tranmission and 235 out of the 57 chevy. I tried several searches on this subject, but couldn't find this exact question in the archives. Thanks
