Sounds like an Eaton HO33, which would be the original axle for a '61 1/2 ton. Having clutch packs in it also identifies it as being the rare factory Positraction variant, which was only made for 3 years. Gear ratio is most likely 3.90:1, though a 3.38 and 4.10 were also available.
