For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 | I just took the gas tank out of my truck and I was told to take it to a radiator guy in town to get it overhauled. The guy told me that he is going to clean/boil the tank and coat it on the inside. He said that it was going to cost $125. Being that this is my first restoration, does this sound right? Do I need to ask any additional questions? See if he offers a warranty. Those who don't follow the manufacturer's directions often find the coating peeling which creates blockage issues. I've had good luck with coatings but I'm pretty good at following instructions. Several here have not had as good luck.
